Tebaba · · Updated · 14 min read
Hadi Clinic is a private hospital in Jabriya, in Kuwait's Hawalli Governorate, across from the Fahaheel Expressway. Its English name says "clinic", but it is a general hospital with wards and outpatient clinics. Its Arabic name means Hadi Hospital. It treats adults and children and has maternity and newborn care. The hospital says it has provided medical services since 1976. Accreditation Canada's directory lists it at Diamond level. The accreditor's levels are Gold, Platinum and Diamond.
Specialties at Hadi Clinic
The hospital's website lists 23 departments. The 16 clinical specialties are described first, then 7 other departments and services such as the emergency department, laboratory and pharmacy. Doctors from some of these departments are listed on Tebaba. Each of those sections links to them.
Obstetrics and gynecology
The department cares for normal and high risk pregnancies. Babies are born normally or by cesarean in delivery suites with midwives. Pain relief in labor can be an epidural or gas (nitrous oxide). Antenatal classes teach Lamaze and breathing techniques. Gynecologists treat menstrual and hormone problems, screen for cervical cancer and do laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. They also treat infertility. The department page mentions assisted reproductive technologies but names no IVF unit or laboratory, so ask the hospital before you book if you need IVF.
On Tebaba: 15 doctors listed under Hadi Clinic gynecologists.
Pediatrics and neonatal care
The department sees children from birth to 14 years, in clinics and on the ward. A Well Baby Clinic does checkups up to age 2. Other clinics treat heart, hormone and blood conditions in children. General and laparoscopic surgery
Surgeons here remove the gallbladder and appendix and repair hernias by keyhole surgery. Weight loss operations include sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass and mini gastric bypass. The surgeons run a breast clinic, treat hemorrhoids and anal fistula with laser and operate on the thyroid. They also operate on children, for example for circumcision and hernia repair. The department's Oncology Unit gives surgical care for cancers of the breast, head and neck, digestive tract and pelvis.
Orthopedics
Orthopedic surgeons treat fractures, sports injuries and torn ligaments. They do arthroscopy (keyhole joint surgery) of the knee, shoulder, hip, hand and foot. They replace hips, knees, shoulders and ankles and operate on the spine, sometimes by minimally invasive surgery. Children's bone and joint problems are treated in the same department. A plasma therapy unit treats joint and soft tissue conditions.
Ophthalmology
