Tebaba ("tebaba.io") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

What Data We Collect

Survey responses: doctor visit details and Patient Trust Index (PTI) scores.
Optional: comments about your experience, proof of visit, and mobile number if voluntarily provided.
Technical data: IP address, browser user agent, and page interactions for platform improvement. We store the full IP address to prevent abuse and to count visits. We also record the country your connection comes from and the name of the website that linked you to us (its address only, never the page you were on), to understand where our visitors come from. Our own usage records that contain it are deleted automatically after 90 days. The IP address stored with a survey response, and the mobile number if you gave one, are deleted automatically after 90 days. On the website, Google Analytics and Contentsquare also receive the pages you visit, how you use them (clicks, scrolling), your device and browser, and an approximate location. Contentsquare records sessions with page text and typed values hidden. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers, keep the data under their own retention settings, and are not loaded on survey and claim pages.

How We Use Your Data

To calculate and display doctor PTI scores based on aggregated, anonymous patient reviews.
To detect and prevent fraudulent or spam submissions.
To improve the platform experience and maintain service quality.

How Reviews Work

All survey submissions are reviewed for quality before being published.
Reviews are anonymous. Your personal details are never displayed publicly alongside your review.
We use automated checks (completion time, response patterns, content moderation) to flag potentially low-quality submissions for manual review.

Symptom Search

When you describe symptoms in the symptom search, the text you type is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to work out which specialty treats them. Type only what is needed. There is no need to include your name, civil ID, or contact details.
We store the text of the query, and the specialty it was matched to, so that the same question does not have to be re-processed. It is not linked to your name or account, and we do not store your IP address alongside it.
Symptom searches flagged as urgent are also logged separately for review, and that log is deleted after 180 days. A copy of each search, urgent ones included, and of the answer we gave is kept in an internal archive with no fixed deletion date so we can improve the tool. You can ask us to delete a search you typed.
The symptom search suggests a specialty. It does not diagnose, and it is not a substitute for seeing a doctor.

Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. We will process your request within 30 days. The identity document a doctor sends to claim a profile is deleted as soon as the claim is approved or rejected. The rest of a profile claim (name, email, mobile number, licence number, specialty and notes) is kept until a deletion request.
