You can come without an appointment, but those visits depend on free slots, so the hospital advises booking ahead.
Emergency and hours. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for adults and children. The hospital publishes one number for everything, +965 1817771, with no separate emergency or ambulance line. If someone's life is in danger, call 112. For childbirth, also bring a copy of your husband's Civil ID or passport and of your marriage certificate. For an admission, bring the doctor's referral, earlier medical reports and test results and your insurance or guarantee card.
Admission. A hospital stay or an operation needs a referral from a doctor at the hospital or elsewhere. The admission date is agreed with the hospital in advance.
Rooms. Patient rooms are private and come in 4 classes: Prestige suites, VIP suites, Classic rooms and Superior rooms. For every class, the hospital's Suites and Rooms page lists services for mother and baby, including a pediatrician's check of the baby before discharge, the hepatitis B vaccine, a certificate with the baby's details, a live camera link to the nursery and a free bed for a companion.
Visiting. The hospital asks visitors to keep to its visiting hours and not to sit on the patient's bed or touch medical equipment. The website does not list the visiting hours. Visitors should clean their hands when entering and leaving the room. Anyone who has had fever, vomiting, diarrhea, an uncontrolled cough or a rash in the last 3 days should not visit.
Patients from abroad.
